Copper Olive 22Mm

SKU
JPN-30001996

22mm copper olive (also known as a ferrule) is a small ring used in plumbing compression fittings to create a watertight seal between a pipe and a fitting. When the compression nut is tightened, the soft copper olive deforms against the pipe to form a secure mechanical joint without the need for heat or solder.

Key Details

Application: Used for 22mm standard copper pipework in hot and cold water services, heating systems, and low-pressure gas installations.

Material Advantage: Copper olives are softer than brass alternatives, making them easier to compress for a reliable seal, especially on chrome-plated pipes or when working in tight spaces.

Standards: Look for products manufactured to BS EN 1254 standards and WRAS approval for use in potable (drinking) water systems.
